Undergraduate Student Government

External Affairs Advocacy Director

The External Affairs Advocacy Director shall serve as the Administration's Chief Advisor in all matters outside of the University Campus. This includes but is not limited to all relevant state, local, and national political issues, strategic partnerships, non-profit outreach and coordination, and alumni relations. They will be expected to develop connections and experience to best suit this goal, as well as conduct research and coordinate events to affect positive change for the student body. They will be expected to chair the External Affairs Advocacy Committee and work with members of the committee to fulfill the mission stated above. Finally, they will be considered a member of the President's Cabinet and the organization's Governing Board, and as such, will be expected to be a general leader in the organization.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  1. 15-20 hours a week to work on USG initiatives

  2. Professional and organized leadership style

  3. Able to work effectively and efficiently with others

  4. Available for weekly committee meetings, Governing Board Meetings, and Wednesday night USG Senate meetings

  5. Available and willing to table once a month outside of Student Union

  6. Able to delegate to employees and volunteers
